The Story of The Fool
The story of the Major Arcana in the Raider White Deck is that of a child being born, and as the soul enters this world it chooses to forget much of the universal knowledge it had accumulated. The child enters the world with curiosity and innocence, blindly putting faith in what it once knew to be true. The task ahead is to re-learn the challenges of life, while trying to maintain faith in the universal power. Life will reward him for opportunity's take.
The Fool's General Meaning
The Fool represents the first step towards knowledge, peace and liberation. This card depicts a traveler standing at the edge of a cliff holding a rose in one hand and in the other a small bundle of possessions. A small white dog nips at his heels, this is often symbolic of reality nipping at his heels!This bag which is attached to his wand is symbolic of his past lessons and experiences. He is gazing up into the heavens as if he’s expecting the universe or God to support him.
The sun shines brightly behind him and reflects the snow covered mountains behind him. He is living for the moment. Highly involved in the present moment. People who dwell on the past or fear the future consider him to be foolish. We cannot change the past and the present creates the future. What we eel decide to do and feel at this moment is somthing we have control over.
