10 Things to do in Thailand!
Thailand is defiantly a place everyone should go at least once in their life!
There is so much to do and see in this tropical paradise. Here is my list of the 10 Top experiences...
- Take a trip to one of the islands on a long-tail boat. You can rent one with a driver to pick you up for 200THB for the day. It is the best way to explore the islands for diving, snorkelling and cliff jumping!
- Watch a magical sunset over the Gulf of Thailand, where the sky turns colours of warm red and burning orange.
- Head to a stadium for a Muay Thai fight. There are stadiums in all the major cities, with cars with the fighters going around on top for advertisements. A ticket is usually 600-1000THB ($20-$30). Depending on if you want front row or are happy up in the stands. The kicks sting and the elbows cut s it is well worth a look!
- Have a Chang beer whilst sitting in a sun-chair, anywhere in Thailand, so long as its on one of the beautiful beach's.
- The 9hr night boat Koh Tao - Suratthani, is madness. Everyone is crammed into a boat with just enough room to sit for a long and slow trip to the mainland.
- Visit a Buddhist Temple and light a candle and make an offering to the monks. A bit off food and drinks as they are not able to own anything, and must be given all of their items.
- Get a Bamboo Tattoo... Not everyones cup of tea but if you like tattoos and are interested in traditional Thai myth and Buddhism, this may appeal to you. I paid 6000THB ($250), for mine and it took 4hrs.
- Grab a few beers and head to Bangla Road, Patong. There are girly bars everywhere, shows, nightclubs...etc.. Not for the faint hearted!
- Hop up on a elephant and go for a bumpy ride through the jungle!!
- Head to the nearest market and grab a piece of fish, have it thrown on a BBQ and cooked for less than $10. This 3kg Red Snapper fed 3 of us :)

I second those things to do, except the tattoo, it is a fine place to unwind. That's the first day now the second day.....
